I grew up in Germany, and have since then lived in nine other countries, and been to over thirty more. This is my conclusion, and suggestion because by comparison with the others, these words simply come up.
It is a pleasant place because it is very appealing, the cities and landscapes are lovely, the food is good, all the comforts of Western civilization exist and life is generally fine there. This is a country with style, intellect, and competence. You can simply let go and take it all in, it's a good place, a pleasant place, full of nice things to nice things to see, hear, eat, drink, and do.
Dresden is one of my favorite places in Germany. A place made for architecture enthusiasts. The city, which is located in eastern Germany near the Czech border, features remarkable facades and edifices.
Spatzle and Sauerbraten are my favorite foods.
